Saturday Morning Worship at the Rock Church
Visitors to the beautifully renovated Rock Church (some are weekend visitors to the area; others live in the vicinity and may or may not have a church home; some have been bikers traveling through the countryside!) have shown an interest in worshipping there.
In response to these requests, St. Olaf Lutheran will offer a series of "Saturday Morning Worships at the Rock Church." These services will be relaxed, informal, "come as you are" events that will start at 9:00 a.m. with simple, light refreshments of something like muffins, juice, and water, and a brief time of informal visitation. The worship service will begin promptly at 9:15, and will be somewhat shorter than a regular Sunday service, with little liturgy, abbreviated biblical readings, short homily, and familiar hymns.
The first service will be held on Saturday, June 19th, and services are anticipated to continue through the summer, maybe later if there is a good response.
These services are in no way geared to "make Lutherans of our neighbors," but just to provide an alternate type of worship to those who might be interested. Welcome all!
